Responsibilities

The Purchasing Manager will lead our procurement team and optimize the organization’s purchasing processes. He/She will be responsible for developing and implementing effective procurement strategies, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. The Purchasing Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining strong supplier relationships, managing budgets, and contributing to overall organizational efficiency.

  • Develop and implement procurement and purchasing strategies aligned with organizational goals. 
  • Manage relationships with existing vendors and see opportunities for collaboration and improvement. 
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality. 
  • Work with budget constraints while optimizing costs and improving procurement efficiency. 
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the procurement process. 
  • Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and industry developments to make informed purchasing decisions. 
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and excess stock, optimizing supply chain efficiency.
  • Lead and manage a team of purchasing professionals, providing guidance, training, and support. 
  • Identify and mitigate potential risk in the supply chain, such as disruptions or changes in market conditions. 
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand their needs and align procurement strategies accordingly. 
  • Generate and analyze reports on key procurement metrics to evaluate performance and identify areas of improvement. 
  • Draft, review and manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring terms and conditions are favorable and in compliance with company policies. 
  • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in procurement operations.
  • Perform cost scenario/cost benefit analysis and benchmarking.
  • Determine the quantity and timing of purchasing and deliveries of supplies based on historical data.
  • Undertake any other tasks or responsibilities at the behest of the Director of Business Operations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar role
  • Experience/knowledge in asset management and vendor management
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers
  • Excellent analytical & critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in using procurement, asset & vendor management software/s and MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of relevant industry trends, regulations, and market dynamics
  • Strong planning, organizational and time-management skills
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be willing to work in Ortigas / Cubao
  • Must be willing to start ASAP
