What does a fun workplace even mean? Most people would probably think it’s not possible, especially in an office desk job. What’s so fun about beige walls and sitting all day anyway, right?
Well, fun can be found anywhere! I mean, who knew people would have the capacity to have the time of their life on the internet, a world literally made of ones and zeros.
Fun is whatever you make it to be.
Is your type of fun about playing games? Celebrations or parties? Engaging conversations and banter during lunch breaks or meetings? Inside jokes with your closest peers? Exploration?
Luckily, you don’t have to choose! At OBP, we have all of that and more.
Celebrations play a huge role in raising the morale and motivation of our teams. We have company traditions that not only engage our employees, but also celebrate their talent and individuality. Our recurring collective events include:
Monthly General Assembly: This is where we gather our employees for about an hour-long session to play some mini-games, award our top performers, and announce exciting upcoming events. This serves as a chance for us to lighten up a bit and catch up with our co-workers. Often, we have more fun in life when we have something to look forward to!

Quarterly Theme Day: The way we dress is one of the most enjoyable ways to express oneself. While business or casual attire can get a bit mundane, we set up some fun dress-up challenges with a specific theme! Will you channel your inner safari or space explorer? Your style opens up a world of possibilities.

Annual Sportsfest Event: One of the most cathartic kinds of fun is bringing a large group of people into one big stadium, with loud music and the collective hype of it all! This becomes even more entertaining with a friendly competitive spirit where you can let all your emotions run free. Not a fan of sports? No worries! Cheering for your team and observing the plays is just as fun.

Year-End Party: Obviously, we don’t let the year end without a bang! As the year draws to a close, we invite all of our clients and employees to an exclusive, elegant event set against dazzling backdrops, exquisite dining, and big live performances. This is an unforgettable toast to our accomplishments and milestones together!

Traditions help everyone feel more at ease and familiar with the space and each other. This also gives us a chance to get to know our co-workers better. You can’t force fun, but with exciting events like these, people show up for the memories and the good times. Speaking of…
There’s a profound joy in exploring the world—a beautiful way of celebrating life itself. That’s what makes team buildings so exciting! These intimate gatherings encourage rapport and collaboration among members with their respective leaders. This type of fun excursion is full of opportunities to create lasting memories and stories.

To give a clear example, we interviewed one of OBP’s top-performing teams: Team Kim, a standout group from operations that took team building to the next level! Team Kim has won Team of the Month twice, and they took this opportunity to raise the bar by holding their team building in Boracay!
Despite unexpected turns, their six-month preparation did not go to waste thanks to friendly Boracay residents welcoming them to host their team building, so long as they are mindful and respectful.

“What happened next was something we didn’t expect, and probably couldn’t have planned better. As we started our team-building games, the energy came back full force. Locals and tourists gathered around, cheering us on like we were part of an island festival!”
One of the most hilarious and crowd-favorite moments? The “pass the ping pong ball using a paper cup” challenge! The cheers, laughter, and confusion in the air were priceless.
In the end, their adventure led them to a spontaneous kind of fun and an unforgettable experience, something that wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support of OBP Management and their awesome bosses.
“Sometimes, the best memories are the ones that didn’t go as planned. Because when a team can laugh through disappointment, cheer louder in public, and turn chaos into connection, that’s real team building.”

These are great and all, but are the people actually enjoying them? Well, one way we learn how employees feel about our events is through feedback forms, which allow them to share their experiences and suggest areas for improvement at their own pace.

Pioneers in our engaging employee activities are none other than our Employee Engagement Specialists! According to them, the feedback they receive from employees is generally positive. Employees are satisfied and have even praised the people behind the events!
Some of the anonymous employee testimonials include: “Thank you for a happy experience and good memories to look back on in the future.” Another one, referring specifically to OBP’s Valentine’s Day Special, shared, “Great job. It was my first Valentine's event here at OBP, and so far, it was amazing.”
Fun is an important part of working. This is where we build team morale and find the motivation to keep going.
