Mike in Japan: From Hard Work to Happily Ever After

Winning OBP Employee of the Year 2024 was a proud and humbling moment for Mike. It was more than just a title. It was a nod to the trust of his team, the support of his leaders, and the collective effort that fueled his journey. And when he found out about the all-expenses-paid Japan trip for two, the recognition became even sweeter. He brought his fiancée, then his girlfriend, and turned it into a shared experience. It wasn’t just a reward; it was the start of a new chapter and a memory they’ll keep forever.

“Being named OBP’s Employee of the Year was a huge honor,” he said. “The Japan trip made it more meaningful because I got to share the experience and create lasting memories with my fiancée.”

Japan was always at the top of their bucket list. They wanted to dive into the city buzz, find peace in quiet temples, try new flavors, and soak up the culture. But what made the trip truly unforgettable? Family. With Mike’s sister living in Japan and his fiancée’s cousin showing them around, they discovered hidden gems and everyday moments most tourists never see.

Every day brought a new adventure. They wandered busy streets, tasted the freshest sushi and ramen, and took in the beauty of Japanese culture. But through it all, Mike had one special plan that made every moment count.

During the trip, Mike proposed at Tokyo Disneyland. “She always said Disneyland is the happiest place on earth,” he shared. “I wanted that moment to happen there.”

Inside Tokyo Disneyland, Mike’s plan came to life. The proposal turned their celebration into a memory they’ll treasure forever.

At OBP, our travel incentive is more than just a reward. It’s a chance to celebrate milestones and create memories that last a lifetime. For Mike, it was proof that hard work, teamwork, and consistency can open doors to experiences that go far beyond the office and into life-defining moments.
