Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Accounting Supervisor to join our team. The Accounting Supervisor will oversee the daily accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, strong leadership and communication skills, and in-depth knowledge of accounting principles.

  • Supervise and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data, including preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, budgets, forecasts, and other financial analysis.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide insights to management that support strategic decision making.
  • Supervise and mentor the team to ensure efficient and effective operation of the accounting department.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial consultants.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state and federal tax laws, as well as financial regulations and reporting requirements.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; CPA designation preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a team to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and other financial analysis tools.
  • Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite or similar.
  • Familiarity with local, state and federal tax laws and regulation and compliances.
