Responsibilities
Research potential vendors/suppliers
Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
Negotiate contracts on reasonable terms of agreement for pricing and supply
Track orders from request to release and ensure its timely delivery
Review and evaluate the quality of purchased products
Conduct Supplier Selection and Accreditation
Conduct regular Supplier Performance Evaluation and communicate results to intended users
Maintain updated records of supplier details, purchased products, delivery information and invoices
Collaborate with the team in developing purchasing plans and identifying potential vendors
Maintain professional relationships with vendors/suppliers
Prepare and finalize reports on purchases, including cost analysis on a regular basis
Ensure that Purchasing requirements are met
Communicate to the management on any Purchasing-related concerns
Coordinate with the Asset Custodian on the inventory of assets to evaluate the necessity to purchase
Achieve the necessary KPI Target as set by the Management
Adhere to Management strategies in assisting with purchase related tasks as delegated in urgent situations
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
Must be a graduate of any 4-year course, preferably in Management, Accounting, Finance or Commerce
At least 1 year of experience in the same role is required for this position
Preferably with background in PEZA processing
Preferably with ISO (QMS and ISMS) experience
Has good negotiation skills
Knowledge in purchasing IT equipment is preferred
MS Office knowledge
Able to suggest ideas to improve process for purchasing and inventory control
With good analytical skills and keen to details
With good organizational skills
With good oral and written communication skills
Can be trusted to perform duties in a proper and honest manner (integrity)
